Friends

Randy Newman once wrote, "You've Got a Friend in Me." When my teacher, Mr. Pittman, gave me an assignment about "I remember," there is only one thing that stuck out to me, friends. Friends have been around in my life ever since I was just a little kid. My friends came from all different sizes, all different ages, but we all had one thing in common: we all like each other. Friends may only come around once in a while, but for me, I have a friend that will last with me for ever. That friend's name is Pokemon.
Pokemon has been around for me for a very long time. Its a game were you try to be the best Pokemon trainer in the world. The first way to start off by being the best ever is by having great Pokemon. They are the animals that help you to become a great trainer. The only was to be the best is by having your Pokemon become great friends. Great friends can come with just one little click that can change the world for you.
These clicks could be just as simple as just sitting by someone for a little bit and just talking to them. This just what happen with my Brent and I. We had a couple of classes together in middle school and we just started talking. Soon after we talk to each other, we became good Friends and are still are to this day. Another of these clicks could be just playing the same sports. This is what happen to Bert and I. I was just playing basketball at my church ice cream social and he just showed up. So we started playing basketball that afternoon, and from there, we have been good friends to this day.
Friends have been around for a long time in this world. Friends can be made with just one little click or something major as being paired up against each other in a basketball game. Pokemon can be your friends, but I would highly suggest you get a real life person. In the end we will be friends. Through fights and good time, they will always be there for you. If you know someone that is having a tough time, just lend a hand and be a good friend to them. They will probably need it. Just lend a hand, help someone out, and just tell that person, "You've Got a Friend in Me."
